This annual race, organized by Lazarus Lake (of Barkley Marathons fame), drags its participants through a grueling footrace across the state of Tennessee. The only aid they’re allowed is that of strangers along the way.

In 2025, our documentary crew joined the journey as 129 unique stories unfolded — reminding us of what’s possible when we rely on our community.
